Christmas Cookie Challenge - History - Netflix
1983: The first batch of Original Chocolate Cookies left the kitchen of founder Michael Mayell's one bedroom flat, to be sold individually from large glass jars in Christchurch dairies. The original recipe for the Chocolate Cookie was “developed” from a Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe on the back of a Chocolate Chip packet and ingredients multiplied to bake in large batches. 1996: The company broke the Guinness World Record for the world's largest cookie by baking a 487m² cookie in a field behind their factory.
